League of Space Pirates after party for VA Comic Con

This is one of my favorite events. I love L.o.S.P. and they always let me paint and costume everyone however I choose :)

Feathered Fun

August Favorite: The Goddess Among Us...

I know I've been goin' heavy on the body paint posts lately, so....

For my August Favorite I'd like to feature a costume :)

Veronica wanted a sexy tunic with accessories for a photo shoot she had in mind. 

So we set out to capture The Goddess Among Us.

Designs for Men too!

I don't get to paint a lot of guys, but one of my favorite male models was nice enough to let me practice multiple designs on him for an event he was attending :) Thanks Jason!

 The upper chest design was inspired by the shape of a squid ;) Awwww, cute huh?

And Jason is only 1/2 Angel so he just got one wing that I finger painted instead of using a brush.

A final simple piece to wrap up the look, swirly vibrations.

I'm experimenting with new promo cards for the Return of the Curls event I'll be body painting for today!

I splashed this leopard design onto Natasha for a fashion show last fall to go with her top.

Beth chose this simple design for the League of Space Pirates party.

I painted Adrienne as an exotic alien for the League of Space Pirates show last month at Gallery 5.

Soliel as Avitar

This is one of my favorite models, Soliel Paden, painted as Avitar. Soliel asked me to paint her for her portfolio and I jumped at the opportunity. I also applied the ears and eyelashes. Rich Dunham was the photographer.This was so much fun!

Body Paint show with Brandy Page

I had an awesome opportunity to have a Painted Bodies show last Summer with Brandy Page, Make-up Artist.This is Britanye modeling hair decorations and painted accessories to match the outfit I designed for her. I'll be posting more from this show along with the other artists who helped us bring it all together!

Arlo Xan

This is Ali who is in the band Arlo Xan with her husband. I did this Asian inspired paint job for their show at Linda Matney Gallery in Williamsburg last week. She made the awesome head dress herself ;)

Full Body Paint!

This is the first body painting gig I got after I came back to Richmond. This is Jessie playing the part of a Bomb. I wanted to make her look firey and explosive for the Africa show. I did the paint, hair, costume aaaand the jewelry! Yay me ;) It was a blast...

Summer shoot with Keith Ramsey

 Wow! It's been a month since my last post! I've been gettin ready for the Cabinet of Cosmic Curiosities event at Gallery 5 tomorrow :) Until I recover from that, here are some photos of costumes and paint that I worked on over the summer with Keith Ramsey, Photographer/Graphic designer/Painter. Masquerade Ball at Gallery 5

 For the Masquerade Ball at Gallery5, I made this animal-bird mask for Solie'l Paden and did her leopard body paint job and her hair. I also created the hat-mask that I'm wearing and painted my own face.  This image was shot by Rich Dunham.
