Sugar Skull Chocolate Cake

Heather Walker is part of Your Local Market Co-op in Stratford, Ontario. She said "our baker, Katelyn has made a custom Sugar Skull Chocolate Cake for the tattoo studio down the street from us. I thought it was too beautiful not to share!"

I love seeing skull baked goods. In the past, Heather shared with us the skull cookies that Katelyn made in their Co-op. The people at the tattoo shop are very lucky to have such a talented baker close by.

Halloween Skull Cake

Christie Medaglia from upstate New York, "made this skull cake for my son's Halloween party in school." She explained, "My son loves everything skulls. I found a copy of your book in his art teacher's class room tonight at open house, and had to go to your website."

I have fond memories of my mom making all sorts of awesome cakes for different events. However, she never made a skull cake...well I don't recall any skull cakes. I hope Christie's son's class enjoyed her deliciously spooky skull cake. Also, we love knowing how people find Skull-A-Day. I also found Skull-A-Day through one of Noah's books, "Skulls".

Skull Wedding Cake Topper

Jessi Irving from the Gold Coast, Australia showed off the wedding cake topper that she created.  She told us: "Here is the Skull Wedding cake topper that I made for our wedding in February this year.  We had a sugar skull and tattoo themed wedding.  The topper looked fantastic on our cake on the day! I started with ceramic skulls, but made the hat and veil myself along with painting them by hand and
adding as a final touch- diamontés."
